Farewell Nelson “Madiba” Mandela

And finally, Nelson Madiba Mandela goes to a place of ETERNAL PEACE  and REST….where great and exceptional men/women go to after doing so much to bless other people…after sacrificing their own well being and comfort to create a good life for their fellow human beings…. after giving priority to their community, state and nation over their own preferences….after living a life of service to mankind and God almighty…and after living a life that gives a true definition of what true leadership is all about.

No doubt, Madiba lived  a fulfilled life. His life was a source of inspiration to millions across the world. His shoes are too big for anyone to fill. His achievements are very uncommon, especially in this days when leadership is all about ME, MYSELF AND I. Even at 95, people, including my humble self,  still wanted him to live on.  The truth is that there is never a ripe age to lose a loved one, especially someone of Madiba’s stature.  But….

There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

– Eccle 3:1-2

Farewell, Mandela. I grew up knowing you. I grew up learning about your service to mankind and to God. I grew up learning about your sacrifice for your people and humanity. Its really amazing to know that you spent 27 years in jail just to prove that….

“I was made, by the law, a criminal, not because of what I had done,

but because of what I stood for, because of what I thought,

because of my conscience.” (1962)

And that…

Social equality is the only basis of human happiness.”

– August – 1970

You also gave this food for thought for us all, especially leaders at all levels across the world….

Living isn’t just about doing for yourself, but what you do for others as well.

For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains,

but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

Painfully, I have to say farewell Madiba. May your soul continually rest peacefully in the presence of the most high God. May He also give your family and loved ones, the heart to bear this huge loss. I only hope that your life and the reactions to your death will serve as a strong food for thought for leaders across the world, and indeed everyone.

Adieu….farewell…rest in peace….Madiba.

Flash back 5 : The make or mar abilities of “POWER”

Nelson Mandela

Madiba…so much to learn from him.       Image source:wikipedia.org

My favourite TV stations are international news stations like CNN, BBC AND CCTV News. I love these stations because they keep me abreast with developments across the world. Sadly, these stations, unavoidably, report to much of very sad developments across the world, particularly, the shedding of innocent blood, the latest being what is being suspected to be a chemical weapons attack in Syria.

Not too long ago, my younger brother’s employer could not pay salaries for upwards of two months. The CEO was being accused of misappropriating funds. I saw a similar scenario on my way to work where employees of a financial institution staged a protest against their boss over similar allegations.

Flash back 5 is therefore a collection of five posts dedicated to everyone in authority who therefore has the powers or authority to oversee the affairs of people and resources – whether in the private or public sector.

Please allow me share my thoughts with you by just clicking and reading the posts below 🙂

I hope my message travels far….

1. The transient nature of power

2. Decision Making : The Most Sensitive And Far-Reaching Function Of A Manager

3. The Amazing Grace Of God

4. Promotion Comes From God…Not Man !

5. The power in a name

Please help me spread the words of wisdom….

Thanks for your time and God bless you 🙂

Best Wishes To One Of The Greatest Leaders On Earth….NELSON “Madiba” MANDELA

“I have fought against white domination, and I have fought

against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic

and free society in which all persons will live together in harmony

with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for, and to

see realised. But my Lord, if needs be, it is an ideal for which I

am prepared to die.” – Nelson Mandela (1964)

God bless and care for you more Madiba. God bless your family too for the sacrifice they have been through in your days of struggle for equity and justice for your people, and by extension, the people of the world.

I hope that some day, and I hope it won’t be too long, that leaders across the world will learn from your service to mankind.

I join the people of the world to wish you God’s health and best wishes 🙂

GET WELL QUICK…..Madiba….

Michael Jackson……Four Years On…..

Michael Jackson (Aug 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009)

Michael Jackson (Aug 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009)

Just like yesterday, four years have rolled by.  A friend could not even believe that four years is gone already, since the undisputed King of Pop moon-walked into non-existence. However,  the sweet memories lingers. Those flawless dance steps, lyrics that makes sense, very entertaining videos, philanthropy, benchmarks in entertainment and very strong penchant for perfection, have refused to fade away.

Yes, he did some bad things, but that was because you and I are like him – imperfect in our ways and having one or more negative (if not worse) things about us.

No doubt, he is greatly missed by his fans across the world, especially me. However, we take solace in all the collection of his various works at our disposal.

God bless the kids he left behind and family and….

May his gentle soul REST IN PERFECT PEACE, amen.

“…but all is possible if God is on my side…”

Imagine A World With Peace Everywhere….

Bloggers for peace

‘If you want to know the value of peace of mind,

ask those who do not have it. Then you will do everything

possible to guard yours….if you have it” – Michael Monday

In a world where bad news fill the news media; in a world where revenue from guns and other weapons of war and anarchy compete with the revenue earned from food and other good things of life, the cry for peace cannot be said to be too loud. The write-ups on peace cannot be said to be too many or too lengthy.

So much blood has been shed. No country is spared. Age, gender or race is not a criteria  for deciding who is gunned down or not or who or where is bombed or spared. In some countries, the situation is appalling.

Taking of peoples’ life is now being done with so much ease…as if life is so worthless these days. Fear fills the air. Peace of mind has become a luxury….for those who are so fortunate and privileged to have it. Even God almighty, has received more requests for His amazing grace more than ever before, because it seems to be the wisest thing to do these days.

Hmnn…then I wonder…for how long will these continue ???…..what does tomorrow hold ???…

So, I did not give it a second thought when I came across an awesome initiative tagged BLOGGERS FOR PEACE. I have joined the movement…..the movement for a cry for peace…..for you, for me, our families, friends and for the world….

What about you ?…CLICK HERE TO JOIN if you are a blogger…

“Heal the world.

There are people dying.

If you care enough for the living

make it a better place. For you and for me…”

Hello dear children,

Warm greetings to you all.

From the depth of my heart, I want to rejoice with you for seeing yet another Children’s Day. For those lovely babies who are celebrating their first Children’s Day, I say congratulations to you too, and may the mercies of God give you more Children’s Day.
