And finally, Nelson Madiba Mandela goes to a place of ETERNAL PEACE and REST….where great and exceptional men/women go to after doing so much to bless other people…after sacrificing their own well being and comfort to create a good life for their fellow human beings…. after giving priority to their community, state and nation over their own preferences….after living a life of service to mankind and God almighty…and after living a life that gives a true definition of what true leadership is all about.
No doubt, Madiba lived a fulfilled life. His life was a source of inspiration to millions across the world. His shoes are too big for anyone to fill. His achievements are very uncommon, especially in this days when leadership is all about ME, MYSELF AND I. Even at 95, people, including my humble self, still wanted him to live on. The truth is that there is never a ripe age to lose a loved one, especially someone of Madiba’s stature. But….
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
– Eccle 3:1-2
Farewell, Mandela. I grew up knowing you. I grew up learning about your service to mankind and to God. I grew up learning about your sacrifice for your people and humanity. Its really amazing to know that you spent 27 years in jail just to prove that….
“I was made, by the law, a criminal, not because of what I had done,
but because of what I stood for, because of what I thought,
because of my conscience.” (1962)
Social equality is the only basis of human happiness.”
– August – 1970
You also gave this food for thought for us all, especially leaders at all levels across the world….
Living isn’t just about doing for yourself, but what you do for others as well.
For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains,
but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”
Painfully, I have to say farewell Madiba. May your soul continually rest peacefully in the presence of the most high God. May He also give your family and loved ones, the heart to bear this huge loss. I only hope that your life and the reactions to your death will serve as a strong food for thought for leaders across the world, and indeed everyone.
Adieu….farewell…rest in peace….Madiba.
My favourite TV stations are international news stations like CNN, BBC AND CCTV News. I love these stations because they keep me abreast with developments across the world. Sadly, these stations, unavoidably, report to much of very sad developments across the world, particularly, the shedding of innocent blood, the latest being what is being suspected to be a chemical weapons attack in Syria.
Not too long ago, my younger brother’s employer could not pay salaries for upwards of two months. The CEO was being accused of misappropriating funds. I saw a similar scenario on my way to work where employees of a financial institution staged a protest against their boss over similar allegations.
Flash back 5 is therefore a collection of five posts dedicated to everyone in authority who therefore has the powers or authority to oversee the affairs of people and resources – whether in the private or public sector.
Please allow me share my thoughts with you by just clicking and reading the posts below 🙂
I hope my message travels far….
Please help me spread the words of wisdom….
Thanks for your time and God bless you 🙂
“I have fought against white domination, and I have fought
against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic
and free society in which all persons will live together in harmony
with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for, and to
see realised. But my Lord, if needs be, it is an ideal for which I
am prepared to die.” – Nelson Mandela (1964)
God bless and care for you more Madiba. God bless your family too for the sacrifice they have been through in your days of struggle for equity and justice for your people, and by extension, the people of the world.
I hope that some day, and I hope it won’t be too long, that leaders across the world will learn from your service to mankind.
I join the people of the world to wish you God’s health and best wishes 🙂
GET WELL QUICK…..Madiba….
Just like yesterday, four years have rolled by. A friend could not even believe that four years is gone already, since the undisputed King of Pop moon-walked into non-existence. However, the sweet memories lingers. Those flawless dance steps, lyrics that makes sense, very entertaining videos, philanthropy, benchmarks in entertainment and very strong penchant for perfection, have refused to fade away.
Yes, he did some bad things, but that was because you and I are like him – imperfect in our ways and having one or more negative (if not worse) things about us.
No doubt, he is greatly missed by his fans across the world, especially me. However, we take solace in all the collection of his various works at our disposal.
God bless the kids he left behind and family and….
May his gentle soul REST IN PERFECT PEACE, amen.

If God is on our side…Michael Jackson on my mind…
‘If you want to know the value of peace of mind,
ask those who do not have it. Then you will do everything
possible to guard yours….if you have it” – Michael Monday
In a world where bad news fill the news media; in a world where revenue from guns and other weapons of war and anarchy compete with the revenue earned from food and other good things of life, the cry for peace cannot be said to be too loud. The write-ups on peace cannot be said to be too many or too lengthy.
So much blood has been shed. No country is spared. Age, gender or race is not a criteria for deciding who is gunned down or not or who or where is bombed or spared. In some countries, the situation is appalling.
Taking of peoples’ life is now being done with so much ease…as if life is so worthless these days. Fear fills the air. Peace of mind has become a luxury….for those who are so fortunate and privileged to have it. Even God almighty, has received more requests for His amazing grace more than ever before, because it seems to be the wisest thing to do these days.
Hmnn…then I wonder…for how long will these continue ???…..what does tomorrow hold ???…
So, I did not give it a second thought when I came across an awesome initiative tagged BLOGGERS FOR PEACE. I have joined the movement…..the movement for a cry for peace…..for you, for me, our families, friends and for the world….
What about you ?…CLICK HERE TO JOIN if you are a blogger…

For you and for me

There are people dying.
If you care enough for the living

Hello dear children,
Warm greetings to you all.
From the depth of my heart, I want to rejoice with you for seeing yet another Children’s Day. You will appreciate the fact that not all the children who celebrated the last one are alive to celebrate this one. You are just privileged beneficiaries of the amazing grace of God. If you have not thanked God today, please stop reading this post, and quickly thank God for His mercies over you.
For those lovely babies who are celebrating their first Children’s Day, I say congratulations to you too, and may the mercies of God give you more Children’s Day.
As you eat, drink and have fun today, please ponder over these ten thoughts of mine….
1. Put God first in all that you do. He will always direct you and bless your undertakings.
2. Discover your talents and pursue it prayerfully.
3. A good talent and a good education will make you stand out.
4. Listen to and live by the words of wisdom of your parents.
5. Beware of friends or peer groups that are likely to bring you regrets or destroy your life.
6. If you are a girl, live a life of dignity and carry yourself in a respectable manner. Command respect from the boys.
8. Imbibe good traits like humilty, hardwork, integrity, truthfullness, honesty, respect for people, sincerity, and fear of God.
9. Follow the developments in today’s technology with wisdom and caution.
10. Visit my site my regularly. You will never regret you did 🙂

Your friend from afar,
It was yet another Mothers’ Day on Sunday, 12th May, 2013. To this end, I salute every mother of the world. However, constraints made it impossible for me to contribute to the global discuss that usually comes with this ever-important day. The good news is that my contribution is better late than never.
I have written quite a few posts in the past related to these wonderful creations of God. To celebrate our awesome mothers, I share with you once again, some of these popular posts, which I implore mothers to reflect upon…..

HAPPY MOTHERS’ DAY !!!
“Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, ‘The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again'”- (Luke 24:1-7)
Surely they killed & buried Him and thought it was over for Him. But they forgot about His resurrection Power !
That same power that raised Jesus from the dead is hereby activated for our enjoyment. Everything dead and buried thing in our life is hereby brought back to life to flourish in Jesus name. Every challenge, sorrow, pain, sickness, lack, and everything that is not of God in our lifes is hereby, by the ressurection of our Lord Jesus, rolled way in Jesus name, amen.
“And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.” – (Matt 28:2)
HAPPY EASTER !!!

Here I go again talking about my wonderful late dad. My late dad told us when he was alive to be very careful with those people we call friends. To buttress his point, he told us of what happened to him when he was living in a city called Jos, here in Nigeria. He had a “well trusted friend” – the kind of friend you eat with, drink with and sleep, with your two eyes closed. The type you would describe as “my best friend.” Unknown to him, the guy was a devil in human clothing. One day, on his return from work, his well trusted friend had cleared everything in the house they both shared and disappeared into thin air. He had to start all over again.
Consider this true life story too. A man dates a lady for years (call her Miss A). Unknown to her, the man had been dating another lady (call her Miss B). He concludes marriage with this secret lover and goes ahead to circulate the invitation cards which a friend of Miss A runs into and shows to her! You can imagine a 100 pounder reducing to less than 55 pounds. It was a horrible experience for her.
Consider this one too. A guy is jobless for many years. He luckily runs into an old friend of his who works in a bank. He is assisted to get into the bank by his friend. To show that truly “the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked….”(Jere 17:9), he conspires against his friend who helped him into the bank and the guy is fired. Later, life took a downward turn for the sacked friend. He turns to his friend for help and he simply tells him to stay away after helping him once.
Are you tired or bored? One last gist – A man lives with his happy family. The wife’s friend comes visiting one day. She becomes friends with her friend’s husband. In no time, the man starts having an affair with the wife’s friend. The wife gets to know and a once peaceful and enviable family becomes a war zone. In the end, they head to the court for a divorce.
Betrayals, deceit, lies, insincerity, dishonesty, infidelity, backstabbing, selfishness, conspiracy, eye-service, amongst others are the order of the day in today’s friendship and relationships.
But this is true and genuine friendship – the friendship of our Lord Jesus? – cursed, bruised, kicked, insulted, disgraced, betrayed and nailed, and later died on the cross that you and I could live; that our sinful lives could be washed clean”…for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” – (Romana 6:23).
A real friend that He is, “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed – (Isaiah 53:5).
This is true and genuine friendship. What a friend we have in Jesus.
HAPPY EASTER TO YOU ALL !!!
