Are You Tired Of Waiting On God ?

Have you been waiting on God for something(s) for so long and you are about to quit waiting damning the consequences? Can you tell how close you are to your testimony? Can you tell how far-reaching the consequences of turning away from God would go? Don’t you think it is better to wait for God forever than to turn your back on Him, with the likely chain-tales of regrets?  “The Lord knows what time is best for us. If you are waiting for answered prayers or the fulfillment of one of His promises, do not give up. If you think He has forgotten you, think again. When the fullness of time is right for you, He will show up – and His brilliant timing will amaze you! (Joe Stowell)

Please do not be tired of waiting on God. Sincerely speaking, sometimes I feel like turning away too, after waiting for so long to get answers to my prayers, and then take the “fast lane.” But it is so hard to forget all the awesome things He has done for me in the past and even at the moment. Being alive is even enough reason to have hope.

My friend, I want to read your testimonies soon and NOT your “had I known” story. For me, it’s really scary to even think of what may become of me and my household if I suddenly give up on God. Hey! come on. So long as we are still alive and have made God our father, we will read each other’s testimonies very soon. Thus says the Lord: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me”(Isaiah 49:5).

Please do not give up on God. Just hold on a little while…a little while…..you just never can tell how close you are to the “victory song”……. “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” (Habakuk 2:3)

    That is truly a wonderful post. Many times we pray and we wait on the Lord patiently and nothing happens. Or should I say nothing happens when we think it should, suddenly it doesn’t make any sense to us. Just because it doesn’t make sense to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t make sense to a God who transcends all human understanding, for when we pray He goes to work in the shadows immediately. He is always by our side, and His time is indescribable. Wait upon the Lord friends, He wants to bless you, therefore, continue to seek Him diligently.

    When given the opportunity you should take a stroll through my blog and give me some feed back, it would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I disobeyed my parents a long time ago and suffered the consequences. They could see what I could not. I realize that God can see even further down the road. It is best to wait and not take matters into our own hands. We will only suffer if we do.

    • You are very correct dear sister. Impatience and ignorance has destroyed so many, will destroy more because “every way of a man is right in his own eyes…”(Prov 21:2). But several experience has shown that “there is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” (Prov 16:25)

  3. May God bless you and keep you always! Thank you for allowing God to use you. God knows this is right on time. Sometimes even the strongest of us get weak; and when we do, it’s good to see God’s strength show up perfect in those times. Great word!

      Like you rightly said “sometimes even the strongest of us get weak.” At su$ch times we have to be very carefull of the decisions we take. In the course losing patience, some people have ended up complicating their problems.

      The truth is : we are human and will always be. But being human should not make the ways of the devil the alternative. The awesome “gift of life” is enough proof that God still cares. Another truth is that God is not deaf or no more who we know Him to be. God is still God !!!

  5. I was giving up today…just sitting in bed, not doing anything. I read the verse that said God doesn’t forget about you. I feel like people forget about you. My mom and dad abandoned me in a time in my life when I needed them most. I still hurt over that. I am financially destitute now. My husband doesn’t have a job and he is going back to school. I live with my mother in law and I hate it. I have no freedoms to do what I want to do, even though I am 30 years old. I do feel forgotten, abandoned, alone and betrayed by many who say they love me. Thank you for this post, it helps.
