First Impression In Business

Few days ago, I needed to have a hair cut. I was so reluctant to use my regular barber. He is popular in my neighborhood because his cut is the cheapest. I did not want to go him because, even though his services were the cheapest, his customer relations was very poor. He always carried himself as if he was doing his customer a favour rather than the reverse being the case.

And so, I decided to try out the new guy in the hood. As soon as I entered, I could feel an atmosphere of “customer appreciation.” I was greeted with a warm welcome spiced up with a smile and visible respect for my person. He even helped me fix myself properly on the seat – something the other guy would never do.

He asked me the style I wanted; I told him and he got to work. All through the cut, he treated me with maximum respect and care. He even cared to ask if the clipper was hurting me. He gave extra attention to every detail involved in the cut.

The summary of my experience is that he was conscious of the fact in business “the consumer is king” and should be treated as such. He treated me like “if I don’t use this oportunity well, he might not come back.” As if he read my mind. My going there was actually a test. He passed big time.

Guess what? He’s now my first choice. I don’t find myself going back to the other guy again. I prefer a place where I will not only get value for my money, but also find an ambience of “excellent customer relations.” Nobody wants to go to a place of busines where the owner wears a facial expression that makes you go “is he/she annoyed that I came?” I would not like a place where I would be afraid to ask questions or to touch something.

There can never be two first impressions in business. The first impression I get goes a long way in telling me what to expect in future. It comes only once. It is either used for or against the business.

I leave you to draw your conclusions and make your deductions.

Thanks for your time.

When Darkness Overtakes The Godly, Light Will Come Bursting In

PrayerEveryone goes through seasons of difficulty or times when things just seem dark. During these challenging times, know that you are not alone. God has a plan to drive out the darkness. He will flood you with His light! “When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in”(Psalm 112:4, NLT).

Notice that the word of God not say, “the light will come trickling in.” No, it says that the “light will come bursting in!” That means, suddenly, you will see God’s goodness. Suddenly, you’ll be promoted. Suddenly, the answer will come! Suddenly you will see yourself behind the red sea. Suddenly, what you thought was impossible becomes a testimony. Suddenly, your oppressor comes to kneel before you to beg for forgiveness.

Suddenly, your oppressor comes to kneel before you to beg for forgiveness. Suddenly, you will get to see to see that I am extremely sane when I say that GOD IS STILL GOD !!!

If you’ve been going through a difficult time, get ready for the goodness of God in a new way. Know that His light is about to come bursting in! Get ready for breakthroughs. Get ready for promotion. Get ready for restoration.

You may have had that problem for a long time, but today could be the day that your testimony will come. Suddenly, things will change! God wants His glory to be seen on you. He wants you to stand out in the crowd. He wants you to be so blessed that everyone around you can see His goodness on you! So keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping and keep declaring His Word because His light is going to come bursting in; because “when darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in” (Psalm 112:4, NLT).

However, you have to stay connected to him. Staying connected to him is like a child staying close to the parents when he is playing . He has a feeling of security. His parents watch over him and quickly come to his aid whenever he needs them. His parents constantly check on him to ensure that it is well with him. However, when the child leaves the presence of his parents to go and play, anything can happen. If earthly parents can provide such care and concern, what do you expect from God.

One way of staying connected is through PRAYERS. It is the best armor against ALL trials and difficult times. I have had my own fair share of “darkness.” But it is heart-warming to say that PRAYER REALLY WORKS !.Just keep on praying. Pray until something happens. God says : “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessa 5:17). Pray until light bursts in and consumes the “darkness” in your life(if any).

I look forward to reading your testimonies, cos when darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in……from GOD.

God bless us all, and may He encourage us to pray and pray and pray, in Jesus name, AMEN !.
